About Knysna Sinako Sports Development

Knysna Sinako Sports Development (KSSD) is a South African Non-Profit Organization (NPO) founded in 2018 by Mr. Justice Xhonti and Mrs. Nomthandazo Xhonti. Driven solely by the generosity of our sponsors, KSSD is dedicated to uplifting the youth of Knysna through the power of sport, particularly football, and other social upliftment initiatives.
Our vision is to create a brighter future for Knysna’s children by providing them with opportunities to develop their potential through sports, education, and community engagement. We strive to improve the quality of life for these young people by keeping them active, engaged, and away from the harmful influences of drugs and crime.
Our Programmes:
Sinako Football Club: At the heart of our organization is Sinako Football Club, where boys and girls aged 8 to 18 years old train diligently most weekdays and compete in matches on weekends. With five teams in each age category (U18, U15, U13, U11), as well as a dedicated girls' team and a girls' netball team, we offer a platform for young athletes to develop their skills and passion for the game.
Role Model and Mentorship Programme: We believe in the importance of holistic development and provide our youth with essential life skills, health, education, and welfare guidance.
Community Upliftment: KSSD actively contributes to the community through regular public and library clean-up initiatives. Our annual school clothing drive collects shoes and clothes to support less fortunate schools in the area.
Sinako FC Colors:
Home: Blue and White
Away: Red and White
